Three-weight world champion Claressa Shields has confirmed she will be fighting Canadian Marie-Eve Dicaire in Flint, Michigan on May 9 in a super welterweight contest.

The 24 year-old, who revealed the news exclusively on the Olympic channel, will be fighting for the chance to become the first ever two-weight undisputed world champion having already collected all the belts in the middleweight division.

Shields already holds the WBC and WBO belts in the 154 pound weight class and will pick up the WBA and IBF straps with a victory in her next fight.

Dicaire, who has a clean sweep of 17 wins from 17 professional fights, will face the two-time Olympic champion, who has 10-0 record. 

Speaking about her bout with Dicaire, Shields said: "I'm going to beat her for sure."
