Former Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho has been released from prison and placed under house arrest in Paraguay.

The 2005 Ballon d'Or winner was arrested along with his brother on March 6 for allegedly using fake passports.

After originally not being granted bail, the pair paid £648,000 each and will now wait for their trial in the comfort of a four-star hotel in Asuncion.

Ronaldinho is widely regarded as one of the most talented Brazilian footballers of the last 20 years and was a major part of the 2002 World Cup winning side.
