New England Patriots legend Tom Brady signs for Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Six-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady has signed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2020 season.
The 42 year-old quarterback, who is the most decorated NFL player of all-time, spent 19 years with the New England Patriots and led them to Super Bowl glory in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2015, 2017 and 2019.
And despite his age, Brady is thrilled to be joining a new team as he bids to secure a record-extending seventh championship.
Speaking about signing for Tampa, he said: "Excited, humble and hungry.
"If there is one thing I have learned about football, it’s that nobody cares what you did last year or the year before that...you earn the trust and respect of those around through your commitment every single day.
"I’m starting a new football journey and thankful for the @buccaneers for giving me an opportunity to do what I love to do. I look forward to meeting all my new teammates and coaches and proving to them that they can believe and trust in me.
Brady will have to wait until the 2020 NFL season kicks off on September 10 to begin helping Tampa towards a second Super Bowl title in their history.
