Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund players take pay cut to help with coronavirus crisis
German Bundesliga clubs Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are set to cut the wages of their players.
The decision to do so is to attempt to redistribute money to other employees at the club during the suspension of matches due to the coronavirus.
Bayern Munich's players have already agreed to take a 20 per cent pay cut, while German newspaper Bild are reporting Dortmund are currently in negotiations with their players to strike a similar deal.
It comes after fellow German side Borussia Monchengladbach became the first team not to pay wages last week.
