Azerbaijan Grand Prix becomes eighth race postponed as Formula 1 season continues to be pushed back
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix, which was scheduled to take place on June 7, has become the eighth race of the Formula 1 season to be postponed.
Organisers of the race have said they will liaise with Formula 1 'with a view to announcing a new race date later in 2020'.
As a result, the Canadian Grand Prix is now set to be the first race of the 2020 campaign on June 14, although further suspensions could come if the coronavirus continues to spread.
Further concern about the Canadian GP has arisen after the country became the first to withdraw from the Olympic Games on Monday.
