Andy Murray to take part in virtual Madrid Open - but he won't be able to play as 'himself'
Andy Murray has confirmed he will take part in a virtual version of the Madrid Open at the end of the month.
The tournament was scheduled to take place in May but has been postponed along with the ATP and WTA Tours due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But the virtual version will now take place over four-days online from the comfort of players' homes and will begin on April 27.
The sixteen men and women taking part will determine how the £130,000 prize money is allocated, with some expected to go to tennis players struggling finncially.
Sadly, the 32 year-old Scotsman will not be able to compete as himself as he's not one of the Tennis World Tour video game players.
But he could choose to be Andre Agassi or John McEnroe.
The Mutua Madrid Open Virtual Pro takes place from April 37-30.
