Wrestlers Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch give their advice to The Rock's daughter Simone Johnson after signing for WWE
WWE stars Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch have given advice to Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson's daughter Simone after she announced she had signed with the company.
Ten-time WWE champion Flair followed in the footsteps of her legendary father and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair when she made her debut in 2012.
And Simone is now set to do the same as she strives to have the same impact as her dad, who was one of the flag-bearers for WWE's 'Attitude Era'.
And on a recent episode of WWE Backstage, CM Punk pointed out that 18 year-old Simone can relate to Flair.
He said: "Somebody who is the daughter of a living legend, that comes in, now she’s signed to NXT, and I think you could be a tremendous help to her. So, if you had any advice to her, what would you say?"
The 2020 Women's Royal Rumble winner Flair replied: "It’s not easy. A lot of people are gonna think it’s easy, and in some ways it is easier, like, you grew up around the business, people know your dad, they know your family.
"But there comes a lot of criticism and do I trust him?, do I trust her?, favoritism, not favoritism, is my dad coming too the how?
"It’s a lot, and you just have to block out the noise, and stay true to you, and you have to work twice as hard, and you can never take anything for granted."
Lynch was asked byTMZ about whether Simone should replicated The People's Elbow in her routine, her dad's famous move.
The current Raw Women's Champion said: "You know what, no. I think maybe there will be a chance for it, but I think it'll be good for her to try and make her own way.
"Don't rely on the past, don't rely on what got other people over. Try to make something new for yourself. I think there's merit in that."
