A pilot was pulled from a plane after it crash-landed on a railway track, seconds before a high-speed train smashed into the wreckage.

Dramatic body camera video released by the Los Angeles Police Department shows two officers pulling the bloodied man away from the stricken aircraft after he made an emergency landing in Pacoima.

Other officers stood nearby looking out for oncoming trains.

As the speeding express approaches, the police officers are heard yelling “go, go, go” as they pulled the injured pilot out of the train’s path.

Seconds later, it slams into the aircraft, obliterating it and sending debris from the single-engine Cessna flying in all directions.

After the incident, the LAPD said the Foothill Division Officers ‘displayed heroism and quick action by saving the life of a pilot’.
