WNBA’s Seattle Storm Epiphanny Prince leaves bubble at IMG Academy for personal reasons
Seattle Storm star Epiphanny Prince has left the WNBA Florida bubble due to personal reasons.
The 32 year-old guard signed for the side this season and has so far averaged 3.0 points in 11.3 minutes per game.
The 2020 season was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and all games are now being held at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Storm coach Gary Kloppenburg confirmed her departure and is not sure when she will return.
He said: "There's a quarantine period when she comes back, so I'm not exactly sure the timeframe on that.
“It seems like it changes week to week what they say about that with the quarantine protocol. We'll find out probably pretty soon what the situation is with her.”
The side are also without Sue Bird after she suffered a bone bruise to her left knee.
Storm are currently top of the Western Conference and have won four out of their five games so far and will next face Atlanta Dream on August 5.
