US soccer star Carli Lloyd talks of feeling 'lost' in self-isolation
US soccer captain Carli Lloyd has said that she feels 'lost' just a few days into self-isolation due to coronavirus.
Off the back of winning the SheBelieves Cup, Lloyd is unable to return to National Women's Soccer League club Sky Blue FC as the league has stopped team training.
Lloyd, who has 294 caps for the US, took to Twitter to share her feelings.
She tweeted: "I’ve been self-quarantined at my home for only 3 days and I can honestly say I am not used to this. I feel lost and have not shut down like this in a LONG time. But finding peace with the pause of life!"
She also posted a photo 12 hours later of what a day off for her looked like.
She captioned the post: "Not a normal thing for me. Stay healthy!"
Lloyd will be hoping the NWSL season goes ahead as planned. It is due to start on April 18.
