UFC fighter Jon Jones helps ‘save man’s life’ after he collapses from severe dehydration in park
UFC star Jon Jones helped save a man’s life after he collapsed in a park from dehydration on Independence Day weekend.
Jones and other ‘heroes’ pulled the man into the shade and gave him food and water. He documented the situation through a series of tweets.
He wrote: "Together we stand, hope you guys enjoy your Fourth of July. We found this man laying in the middle of a field today, he was suffering from severe dehydration.
"The group honestly believe we saved that man’s life. It felt amazing, those men and women were heroes out there today. We dragged him underneath a tree and forced him to drink about four water bottles.
“Even got him to bite a hotdog before we left. Definitely not trying to paint myself as some hero, I was more proud for my group members to be honest. Some of the younger kids got to learn some valuable lessons today.”
Jones has three daughters with his partner Jessie Moses.
And despite the earlier incident, Jones did get to celebrate the fourth of July.
He posted a video of him setting off fireworks with his family.
Jones last fought in the UFC 247 in February of this year where he beat Dominick Reyes by unanimous decision.
He hasn’t competed since as he’s in a contract dispute with UFC president Dana White.
