Transgender wrestler Nyla 'The Beast' Rose suspended by AEW for shocking attack on referee during Dynamite
All Elite Wrestling have suspended transgender wrestler Nyla Rose "without pay" until the end of the year after she launched a shocking attack on the referee in last night's Dynamite episode.
Dubbed "The Beast", the 37-year-old, who was the first openly transgender woman to join the sport in February, assaulted referee Rich Knox, powerbombing him through a wooden table.
She then turned on her opponent, Shanna and threw her on top of him with the same move.
Rose has previously spoken out against abuse from internet trolls, saying: “I feel like a lot of people are kind of projecting their own unhappiness on to me, and using me as an outlet. A punching bag, if you will. It sucks, and please stop doing it.
“I celebrate Christmas. You can give me that for Christmas, just effing stop.
'The Beast' has since taken to twitter to respond to the punishment.
She retweeted the photo accompanied by the caption: "Wooooooow that’s some BS and y’all know it. That’s cool, imma just enjoy my apparent vacation for now.... but the dumbest thing you guys could’ve done was “cut the tracking device” off the Monster before releasing it into the wild."
