Tiger King star and Big Cat Rescue owner Carole Baskin to star in new reality TV show
Tiger King star and Big Cat Rescue owner Carole Baskin has landed her own reality TV show.
The unscripted programme, which will also feature Carole’s husband Howard Baskin, will follow the pair 'as they work to expose, like never before, those who abuse and take advantage of various animals’.
In a statement reported by the New York Times, the Baskins believe this new show gives them the opportunity to change the big cat industry.
They said: "This is a chance for us to use our new platform to battle the everyday evils facing big cats and so many other animals."
Baskin starred in 'Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness’ opposite former zoo owner turned felon Joe Exotic.
Exotic, real name Maldonado-Passage, is now in prison for animal abuses and murder-for-hire in which the victim was intended to be Baskin.
In June, a court granted Baskin the right to take control of the GW Zoo site previously owned by Exotic.
Baskin was embroiled in her own controversy while Tiger King was being aired as it touched several times upon the strange disappearance of her former husband, something she insists she was no part of.
Don Lewis went missing in 1997 and the case has never been solved.
