Three-time world champion Marianne Vos signs two-year deal with Team Jumbo-Visma
Three-time world road race champion Marianne Vos has reportedly signed a two-year deal with Team Jumbo-Visma.
The Netherlands rider will remain at her current team CCC Liv until the end of the 2020 season before joining her new outfit for the 2021 campaign, according to Dutch outlet AD.
It comes after Cycling Opinions reported last week that Jumbo-Visma are to form a women’s team for the 2021 season.
And the newly-forming team have been looking at some of the best riders in the world to join them in their new venture including Vos and fellow countrywoman Annemiek van Vleuten.
Vos is a triple world champion having won the road race title in 2006, 2012 and 2013.
She is a two-time winner of La Course, including her impressive victory at last year’s race.
And she also broke British fans hearts back in 2012 when she pipped home favourite Lizzie Deignan to the Olympic gold medal.
As well as one-day races, Vos is also a three-time Grand Tour winner having triumphed at the Giro d'Italia Femminile in 2011, 2012 and 2014.
Aside from her road successes, she is also one of the best cyclo-cross riders of all-time having won the world title an incredible seven times.
