Terri Harper v Natasha Jonas set to make history at August 7 ‘Fight Camp’ show
Terri Harper will defend her WBC Super-Featherweight title against Natasha Jonas behind closed doors in Essex on August 7.
The clash will be the first all-British female world title fight ever and will be the headline fight on the second weekend of action at Eddie Hearn’s ‘Fight Camp’ HQ.
Hearn’s first show will take place on August 1 in Brentwood, before Harper and Jonas top the bill the following Friday.
They will be joined by an all-British undercard including Anthony Fowler, Hopey Price and Chris Billam-Smith.
Harper, 23, won her WBC belt against Eva Wahlstrom back in February, adding to the IBO belt which she already held.
The Denaby-born fighter is undefeated in 10 professional contests since turning over in 2017.
Meanwhile, Jonas suffered a shock defeat to Viviane Obenauf in August 2018, but has since responded with three wins on the bounce.
The 36 year-old has a great deal of amateur pedigree including a bronze at the world championships and silver at the Europeans.
Undisputed lightweight star Katie Taylor is also expected to feature in the final of Hearn’s four ‘Fight Camp’ shows on August 22, with organisers hoping to secure her the fight against seven-weight world champion Amanda Serrano.
Heavyweight Dillian Whyte will headline the fourth show - which will be pay-per-view - against Russian Alexander Povetkin.
