Tennis star Eugenie Bouchard tells hard-up fan ‘don’t sell memorabilia, I’ll pay for your hearing aid’
Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard has helped out a fan who was going to sell a bunch of autographed goodies to raise money for a hearing aid.
Morgan Jamie posted on Twitter: “I won this @geniebouchard prize package from diet coke Canada many yrs ago it's very rare as only 3 were given away I am selling it to help me rise money for new hearing aids if interested DM me.”
The 2014 Wimbledon finalist saw the post and was quick to respond, saying: “I'm going to give you a hearing aid. Please don't sell it.”
After her tweet, a hearing aid company then got in touch and offered the fan a brand new hearing aid for free.
Bouchard, 26, replied: "Chain reaction of nice gestures. Thank you for offering. I hope this works out, however I am still sending something.”
