A second teenager has been charged with murder over the death of 14-year-old Fares Maatou.
On Thursday the Metropolitan Police charged a 15-year-old boy with murder and weapons and drugs offences including being concerned with the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.
Fares was attacked during a confrontation between two groups of youths in Canning Town, east London, on the afternoon of Friday April 23.
He suffered a wound to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene outside a pizza restaurant in Barking Road.
During the violent incident, an electric scooter that Fares had with him was taken.
A 14-year-old youth, who allegedly struck Fares with the metal sheath, was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon earlier this week and appeared at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.
He was remanded in custody ahead of a plea hearing at the same court on July 16.
The 15-year-old was arrested alongside five other males at an address in Leyton on Tuesday.
Hashim Munye, 18, of no fixed address, was charged with assisting an offender and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

All six were remanded in custody to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Three other 15-year-old boys were arrested over the incident, with two arrested on suspicion of murder and the other in connection with the incident.
All have been bailed until late May.
