Premier 15s round-up: Wasps inflict 105-0 defeat on DMP Durham Sharks as Exeter Chiefs record first league win
The fourth round of the Premier 15s saw some historic wins and close scores.
DMP Durham Sharks would have been hoping the 103-0 defeat they suffered to Harlequins would have been the heaviest in this campaign but Wasps stung them with a 105-0 scoreline.
Wasps came out firing in the first half as Ellie Boatman had a hat-trick, Abby Dow scored twice with Elizabeth Crake, Sadia Kabeya and Claudia McDonald all scoring which gave them a 57-0 lead at half-time.
The hosts weren’t finished there as in the second half Katie Mason scored twice, McDonald had another two scores and more tries came from Kanyinsola Afilaka, Dow, Ciara Cooney and they were awarded a penalty try.
The victory is Wasps’ biggest ever win in the league.
Meanwhile, Exeter Chiefs registered their first ever victory in the league as they beat Worcester Warriors 19-7.
It was Worcester who struck first through Vicky Foxhill but Chiefs levelled the scores with Lottie Holland dotting down.
Chiefs pulled ahead just on half-time as Emily Tuttosi crashed over the whitewash to give the hosts a 12-7 lead.
In the second half Chiefs struck again with Laura Delgado scoring to ensure their win.
Saracens and Harlequins maintained their unbeaten seasons to remain in the top two spots in the table. Quins beat Loughborough Lightning 33-24 and Sarries defeated Gloucester-Hartpury 43-5.
And finally, Bristol Bears beat Sale Sharks 40-18.
