NWSL's Bethany Balcer signs three-year deal at Rapinoe's Reign FC
National Women's Soccer League player Bethany Balcer has signed a three-year contract extension with her club Reign FC.
The 2019 NWSL Rookie of the Year was the club's top goalscorer last season.
The deal will keep her at the club - captained by World Cup star Megan Rapinoe - until 2022 with a team option for a fourth season.
She said: “I’m super excited to continue my journey with the Reign. I grew so much last year and I’m looking forward to continue that momentum and develop my game even further under this incredible organization and new coaching staff.
"The environment here demands growth and that’s incredibly fun to be a part of.
“Last year was a pretty sporadic year, with injuries and new players coming in constantly. I’m excited to really create a close-knit culture as a team this year and get back into the play-offs and bring home some hardware for the fans who deserve it.”
The NWSL season begins again on April 18.
