Manchester United’s Jess Sigsworth re-signs for the WSL club
Manchester United forward Jess Sigsworth has re-signed for the Women’s Super League side in a deal which will see her remain at the club until at least 2021.
There is an option to add a further year at the end of next season.
Sigsworth signed for United in July 2018 and was part of the squad which gained promotion into the WSL last season. She has made 48 appearances across all competitions and scored 22 goals.
She said: “I love this club. As a kid growing up supporting Manchester United it was always a dream for me to one day be a part of its amazing history.
"Signing a new deal is a proud moment for me and I am really excited to continue my journey here. I just can’t wait to be back out there playing for the badge next season.”
United manager Casey Stoney said the 25 year-old is a great talent.
“Jess is United through and through, so it’s great to see her sign a new contract with the club. She is a great talent and has a remarkable work ethic.
"I see the commitment she gives every day in training, always pushing herself and others which is pleasing to see. I’m looking forward to continuing our work with Jess throughout the next year."
This comes after Amy Turner and Kirsty Hanson both signed new deals for United in the past few weeks.
