Manchester City look to keep pace with Chelsea at the top of the Women's Super League as they host Liverpool
Manchester City host bottom of the table Liverpool in the Women's Super League this Sunday as Neil Cushing's side seek a seventh victory from eight games.
Last season's runners-up have made a strong start to the domestic campaign, dropping points only to Arsenal where they were beaten 1-0.
City bagged five in their last game away to Bristol City with the league's joint top scorer Pauline Bremer bagging a brace.
Contrastingly, Liverpool have had a truly woeful start as they are still searching for a first WSL victory.
At the foot of the table with just a single point, the Reds have only netted one goal in their seven matches so far, something which will undoubtedly be cause for concern for manager Vicky Jepson.
But there were signs of improvement against champions Arsenal last time out where they put up a dogged display despite going down 1-0.
The Merseyside club could find themselves five points adrift of safety come the end of the weekend, so they really need to get something from this tough fixture.
The match kicks off at 2pm GMT on Sunday and will be available to watch on the FA Player.
There will also be a full round-up of all the weekend's WSL games on the NewsChain website.
