Louis Tomlinson leaves Simon Cowell’s record label after 10 years
Louis Tomlinson has announced he’s left Simon Cowell’s record label Syco Music after ten years.
The former One Direction star rose to fame on X Factor in 2010 and signed a deal with the label.
Tomlinson was part of the band for a successful six years before they split up.
The 28 year-old announced the news on Twitter, saying: "Hope everyone is doing ok! Just wanted to let you know that Syco Music and I have agreed to part ways.
“I'm really excited for the future and to be back in the studio writing the next album. Can't wait to finally see you all on tour!! Stay safe and see you soon, Louis x.”
He is the last member of the band to leave the record label.
Fans were quick to support the star, as one wrote: “We are so excited for you getting finally what you deserve! WE GOT YOUR BACK KING.”
Another one said: “FINALLY! We are very happy for you, Louis! Now you're free !! We wish you luck in this new stage of your life, we will always be here for you !! We love you!!"
One fan added: “Louis we’re here to support you along the way!! We love you can't wait for tour and new music x.”
His 2020 Tour was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Several of his shows have been moved to August and September, but new dates for his US locations have not been announced.
