Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has said Tokyo 2020 will be the last Olympics of her glittering career, which includes six Olympic and 11 world championship medals.

The 32-year-old 'Pocket Rocket', who burst onto the scene by winning the 100m at Beijing in 2008 told, The Telegraph: "I am always grateful for the opportunity to represent my country, my family, myself. But Tokyo is my last Olympics. I definitely know that."

Fraser-Pryce shocked the world in September at the World Athletics Championships in Doha when she claimed gold in the 100m and 200m having returned to the sport after giving birth to her son, Zyon, in 2017.

And she is aware now that aside from athletics she has other focuses in her life.

"I will miss the sport, but I will be OK," she said. "I don't think it will be hard to retire. Athletics is just one thing I do."

The Kingston-born sprinter has no plans to slow down off the track and has set up a number of businesses with her husband Jason.

She is full of admiration for her partner and hopes to raise her son to love and respect women in the same way his father does.

The legendary runner has also written a children's book titled 'I am a Promise' which aims to encourage young girls to follow her lead and follow their dreams. 

Alongside this, she established the Pocket Rocket foundation in 2013 which helps financially support young athletes with their education while continuing to train.

"I want to give students the chance not to have to worry where their next meal, their next book, is coming from," she said.
