K-Pop star Yohan of boyband TST dies, aged 28
K-Pop star Yohan has died at the age of 28 and fans have paid tribute on social media.
The South Korean singer, real name Kim Jeong-hwan, died on Tuesday but the cause of death has not been revealed.
He was a member of the boyband TST, who released their fourth album in January called ‘Countdown.'
TST’s label KJ Music Entertainment confirmed his death in a statement, which read: "We are sad to relay the most unfortunate, sorrowful news.
"On June 16, TST member Yohan left this world. Yohan's family is currently in deep mourning.
"The family has pleaded that media articles about Yohan's passing, such as those making speculations about the cause of his death, be refrained out of respect.
“We express our deepest condolences in light of Yohan's final parting.”
Yohan rose to fame in 2015 when he was part of the group NOM, before he went on to join TST two years later.
Fans of Yohan have since paid tribute on social media as one wrote: “Rest In Peace angel. Even tho I wasn’t stanning TST this new breaks my heart. You did well Yohan we love you.”
Another fan said: “My deepest condolences go out to Top Secret (TST), his family, friends and fans. May he rest in peace.”
