Great British Bake Off WILL air this year after hosts return to filming
Great British Bake Off will return this year despite disruption to filming caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The 11th series of the show was due to begin shooting in April but, like most other TV programmes, were forced to postpone.
But filming has now resumed and chief commercial officer Jane Millichip has given an insight into when we can expect it to return.
She told The Sun: "It’s all happening in deep secret. Somewhere in darkest deepest Britain in the shires.
"You will have your Victoria sponge this year.
Chief executive Gary Davey added: "There was a lot of work between Love Productions and our Covid team to get that right."
It has been confirmed that Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will both return as judges.
But comedian Sandy Toksvig will not join Noel Fielding to host another season.
Instead, Little Britain comic Matt Lucas will fill her shoes alongside Fielding in the Great British Bake Off tent.
