Former Love Island star Dr Alex George has revealed he’s split from his girlfriend Amelia Bath. 

The 30 year-old has been working on the frontline as an A&E doctor during the coronavirus pandemic. 

But the pair, who have been dating since 2018, had not managed to spend much time together as the country went into lockdown in March.

He announced the news to his 1.4 million Instagram followers, saying: "Guys just want to let you know, Amelia and I have decided to go our separate ways.

"As you know, we've been apart for most of lockdown which has been hard on us both and we both agree this is for the best.

"We will remain good friends and I have nothing but respect for Amelia. Thank you for the love and support always."
