Ex-tennis player and Playboy model Ashley Harkleroad reveals her isolation secret
Former tennis player and Playboy model, Ashley Harkleroad, has shared her innovative way of saving money on clothes during the lockdown - by not wearing any!
Posting on Instagram, the 24-year-old American uploaded a naked rear-view photo of herself at the home she shares with husband, and former ATP player, Chuck Adams.
The accompanying caption reads: "Been saving money on clothes...#quarantinelife".
Harklerod turned pro in 2000 aged just 15 and retired from the sport in 2012, having become the first professional tennis player to pose naked for Playboy Magazine.
In 2008 she was the cover girl for the August edition of the magazine and admitted she decided to do the shoot following surgery on an ovarian cyst in March of that year.
She said at the time: "I’m proud of my body. I was representing a female athlete’s body."
She achieved a career high ranking No 39 in 2003 and her Grand Slam record included two third-round exits (French Open 2003 and Australian Open 2007) and two second-round exits (US Open 2003 and Wimbledon 2006.)
Having stepped away from the sport in 2007 to have her first child, Charlie, she made her comeback in 2010 for a brief spell before again taking time away to welcome daughter Loretta Lynn, into the world.
She returned to the sport but never reached the highs of her 2003 ranking again.
The tennis couple appear to have passed their talents onto their children, often uploading social media posts of the children showing off their skills.
