Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is highest-earning male actor for second year running
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has been named the highest-earning male actor for the second year in a row.
The former WWE star earned $87.5 million between June 1, 2019 and June 1, 2020, according to wealth magazine Forbes.
The 48 year-old made $23.5 million alone for the upcoming Netflix thriller ‘Red Notice’ and his popular Under Armour line Project Rock also boosted his earnings.
Second on the list was actor Ryan Reynolds who earned $71.5 million, with $20 million going into his pocket for both films ‘Red Notice’ and ‘Six Underground.'
Mark Wahlberg was third with $58 million following his action-comedy ‘Spenser Confidential,’ which became Netflix’s third-most-watched original film.
Ben Affleck came in fourth and Vin Diesel fifth, with the only Bollywood star in the top ten, Akshay Kumar in sixth.
‘Hamilton’ creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, actors Will Smith, Adam Sandler and movie star Jackie Chan also made the list.
The list of the highest-paid actresses is yet to be released.
