Dirty Dancing actress Jennifer Grey and husband Clark Gregg have announced they are getting divorced after 19 years of marriage.

The pair also revealed they have been separated since January.

Grey wrote on Instagram: "After 19 years together, we separated in January, knowing we'd always be a family who loves, values and cares for each other.

“We recently made the difficult decision to divorce, but we remain close and are deeply grateful for the life we've shared and the wonderful daughter we've raised. - jennifer & clark p.s. totally crying as we post this.”

Gregg posted the same message on his own Instagram page.

She and Gregg, who is best known for starring in Marvel films, began dating in 2000 and have an 18 year-old daughter, Stella. 

Grey shot to fame after playing Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman in Dirty Dancing opposite Patrick Swayze’s Johnny Castle in the 1987 classic.
