David Schwimmer says filming for Friends reunion could begin next month
Friends star David Schwimmer has revealed that filming for the show’s long-awaited reunion special could begin next month.
The 53 year-old actor, who plays the character Ross Geller in the 90s sitcom, confirmed that filming for the one-off episode is still planned to go ahead in mid-August if it is safe to do so.
He told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show: "It's supposed to happen maybe in August, the middle of August, but honestly we're going to wait and see another week or two if we all determine it's really safe enough to do.
“And if not, then we'll wait until it's safe.”
The episode was scheduled to launch in May in the US on HBO Max streaming service, but filming was delayed due to the coronavirus crisis.
Schwimmer will reunite for the special episode with all his co-stars including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry.
