Premier 15s club Bristol Bears have signed Wales international Kayleigh Powell ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The 21 year-old, who has been capped for Wales five times, said the Bears will be a ‘great challenge’ for her.

“I’m really looking forward to joining Bristol Bears Women for the upcoming season. It’s a well-established club both on and off the field with the fantastic work they do on the pitch and within the community.

“The Bears have a great squad and I believe it will be a great challenge for me at this stage in my career as I try and push myself to the next level."

And Bears head coach Kim Oliver has said the fly half will add ‘versatility’ to the backline.

"We’re delighted Kayleigh will be joining us ahead of the new season. She’s a bright young talent, who has the potential to shine in the Premier 15s.

“Her versatility across the backline gives us a number of options of how we can set-up and creates great competition amongst the backs."
