Breaking Bad actor Johnny Ortiz has been arrested over attempted murder charges.

According toTMZ, Ortiz allegedly tried to kill a man called Brian Duke in a ‘premeditated gang hit’.

It is claimed the actor, alongside a man named Armando Miguel Navarro, tried to kill Duke "for the benefit of, at the direction of, and in association with a criminal street gang with the specific intent to promote, further and assist in criminal conduct by gang members".

Ortiz, who was arrested in late May and has pleaded not guilty, has had bail set at $1,120,000. 

His family is attempting to raise bail money through crowdfunding. 

Ortizappeared in films El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, McFarland USA and Ali.
