Anjali Chand sets T20 world record taking six wickets for no runs as Nepal dismantle Maldives at South Asian Games
Nepalese seamer Anjali Chand has set a new world record for the best bowling in an international T20 match claiming six wickets for no runs against the Maldives in the South Asian Games.
The 24-year-old dismissed all her victims for ducks in 13 balls with her final three coming from a hat-trick as the Maldives were skittled out for 16 in just 10.1 overs.
Only two batters managed to get off the mark and it took just five balls for Nepal to chase down the total.
Chand's figures are the best recorded in any men's or women's T20I, surpassing the 6-7 claimed by India's Deepak Chahar against Bangladesh earlier in the year and the 6-3 taken by Mas Elysa and her Malaysian team dismantled China in January.
