'Friends' reunion episode delayed amid coronavirus chaos
The Friends reunion episode has been delayed as a result of the coronavirus situation.
All six members of the original cast were due to come together to celebrate 25 years since the show was released.
Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry all individually announced in February that the six of them would reunite in a special sit-down interview.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show was supposed to be filmed on Monday and Tuesday but this has now been delayed due to the pandemic. The special could be filmed as late as May with an airing date not being confirmed.
Cox, who played Monica Gellar on the show, said recently: "So the exciting thing is that we’re all going to get together for the first time, in a room, and actually talk about the show. It’s going to be on HBO Max, and I’m so excited.
"We’re going to have the best time. It’s going to be great. But we really haven’t all done that and actually sat there and talked about and reminisced about this incredible experience that we had. It’s going to be fantastic."
The show's creators, Marta Kauffman and David Crane, are also set to star in the one-off special.
