Top Gear’s Paddy McGuinness recovers with ‘cup of tea, a paracetamol and a little cry’ after crashing £250k Lamborghini
Paddy McGuinness has assured fans that his health is not in any danger and he is now returning to filming following a crash in a 1990 Lamborghini Diablo while filming Top Gear on Tuesday.
The 46 year-old presenter crashed the £250k supercar after skidding on an oil slick while driving in the rain on location in North Yorkshire.
He shared the news that he is doing well and remained in high spirits as he joked about the incident.
In a video released on Tuesday night he said: “It's been a mad old day on Top Gear today, you might have seen that I had a bit of a shunt.”
He continued by joking about the crash adding: "I finally got to drive one of my fantasy childhood cars, the Lamborghini Diablo, but it turns out 30 year-old supercars don't like torrential rain, who'd have thought.
It seemed the TV personality was more concerned for the car than himself.
"Fingers crossed we get the car running again because it is an absolute beauty," he said, then adding: “I'm going to have a cup of tea, a paracetamol and a good old cry!"
