Great British Bake Off fans will have to wait to see new presenter Matt Lucas make his debut on the show as filming has been disrupted by coronavirus.

Lucas was preparing to join Noel Fielding having been announced as taking over from Sandi Toksvig on the Channel 4 show.

The upcoming series 11 was due to start filming at the infamous white tent in Welford Park in Newbury in April, but has been delayed to ensure the health and wellbeing of everyone involved.

A spokeswoman for Love Productions said: "We continue to monitor the situation and follow the advice of Public Health England and we will delay filming on Bake Off until it is safe to proceed.”
