Golden Globes 2022: Full winners list as muted award show goes ahead without celebrities or broadcast
The Power of the Dog, West Side Story and Succession were the big winners as a very different kind of Golden Globes took place over the weekend.
The annual award show, which celebrates the best in TV and film, usually marks the start of the awards season, however the Hollywood Foreign Press Associan (HFPA) which decides the winners, found its self under increasing scrutiny relating to lack of diversity and allegations of shady deals behind the scenes.
As a result, this year’s ceremony went ahead without a red carpet, celebrity guests or TV broadcast, and was instead attended by “select HFPA members and grantees” only.
In film, Western The Power Of The Dog and Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story remake, both took home three nods a-piece.
While in TV Succession was the big winner with three gongs, and Mj Rodriguez made history as the first transgender star to be recognised for her performance in the final series of Pose.
